    I'm still not familar with US grading, could somebody please explain me, what NET-Grade means?

    Net grading is a service offered by ANACS. ANACS will holder and provide a grade for problem coins... like the polished one attached to this thread. Its just that the grade is reduced to account for the problem.

    It should have been net graded much lower than that.

    I'm just happy that it's in a slab which accurately describes the condition. I think all the services should net grade. How many times have you seen coins like this for sale on eBay without any mention of the harsh cleaning?

    In fact all services netgrade coins, it's just not mentioned on their holders, but some dipping or gentle cleaning on old coins seems to be tolerated by PCGS and NGC,so, instead of a BB, a silent net grade is given.Sometimes I hear that dipping even enhances the grade.
