My British went bye-bye

Just packed up and shipped my Gothics, a BoE and a GIII crown off to Goldberg for inclusion in their upcoming September auction. Can't say I am too sad as I could use the bucks more than the coins. Still, Victoria's drawer in the cabinet looks VERY empty image

Just fill the drawer with pics of the coins that once filled it and it won't look so empty.image

I'm going to have a more difficult time with the CV's...for the time being I'll be keeping them, at least until I need more Goetzbucks...image

The Gothics alone should refill the ol' petty cash box image

Hey, they had a good ride while they were with you. You have some great pictures and they will always be a part of your collection in a sense.

I have gotten rid of parts of my collection in the past, and while they were not nearly as rare and valuable as what you unloaded, it still felt a bit weird. It was good to move on, though.

I have sold off my collection more times than i care to remember. Sometim,es you regret it, sometimes you don't. Some might remember i was trying my hand at British sixpences at one point, end of May every singl one was sold... the feeling of starting fresh is a good one every once in a while.

It certainly looks like cacheman won't regret this sale much. But don't be too quick to let every non Goetz piece in your collection go, sometimes it's nice to diversify a little. Besides, Darksiders, myself included, are famous for their lack of focus. image

Glad i'm not alone, in more ways than one! Firstly because we've both lost count of the constand refocusing process and because i'm not the only one on here with a coin cabinet! image

I'll always be able to say that at one time I had a Gothic grading set with my PR62,64,66 in the collection image The 62 went to Stephen's in trade for a bunch of Goetz about a year ago and with the set broken up, the rest had to go... The consignment isn't written in stone as yet because I want to see what they'll estimate the values to be first. I also want a minimum catalog half page for the PR66...you never know, they could be back home in a week or so...
