VERY NICE brown Proof. When I get my Proof Indian cent, it will be a coin that looks like this.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I'm just hoarding the brown ones. I saw this one and fell in love.
Mmmm. High-grade brown copper. MS or PR.
Apparently both the 8 and 9 are repunched with a pretty wide spacing on this die pair. I think there are only 2 dies pairs out there so it has no premium.
here's some pics of the mirrors. I like this way of doing it because the color and appearance is more life-like. But, you get big glare on parts.

I wouldn't mind one of those myself.

I don't need any other collecting interest but this photograph is so tempting....
I like that color on the brown fields. Gives it a cameo effect
