Has there ever been a time when people believed PCGS was too loose?

And I don't want to hear somebody say "PCGS was loose three years ago". I'm talking about IN THE MOMENT! Hind sight doesn't count.

I'm sure there are some genuine instances where a submitter got screwed, but I don't ever recall a time when people said anything other than PCGS being too tight.

How on earth can that be possible? ANSWER: IT CAN'T.

I don't submit enough to know the trends of loose to tight, but I have recieved at least two VERY generous grades from PCGS in the past couple of years. Generous enough that I'm pretty sure they are coffined out if I sell them.

There have been times, in the moment, where folks have offered me a coin for sale and I have thought to myself "PCGS was too loose" in regards to the coin in question. Of course, that's not the "in the moment" that you are looking for...

I mean PCGS being too loose "in general". PCGS will, like everyone, blow it on an occasional coin.

I have thought they were too loose in the late 90's. You see the coins for sale all the time.

Did you think they were too loose at the time those coins were being graded? As I said earlier, hind site doesn't count.
