I don't see myself selling this Guinea any time soon, but you can never say "never."

I'll never say never either. For the right price, any coin I own is for sale, including this one (at £100,000 image ).

    image

It was purchased on this very website, back when PCGS had world coin auctions (a longgg time before I would go look at a message board)!!!!

I could lose all else (well nearly), and rebuild, but this crown is the chief cornerstone.

I'll entertain offers above £2,500,000......seriously, I'll let it go for that....deposited in a Swiss bank account.....image

LM, I'll remove this from my sigline, since it's a distraction.image

You know, although I've never sold any of my coins I can't say that I wouldn't. However there is this late 19th century french medal that I know I will never part with...image

From a forum member and technically probably the highest grade World Coin I own. Actually I have a rough time getting rid of any World Coins. Liteside I can sell in a heart beat. Even my Mercs.

I honestly can't say that any of my coins are safe from being sold any more... I change my mind more times than... something that changes it's mind alot.

Last month i would have said absolutely no to selling either of these two... (i'm selling them tomorrow), all i care about now is Anglo-Saxon pennies and Edward the Elder won't buy himself.

    imageimage

    imageimage

Which means that by tomorrow afternoon i will not have any sixpences left at all and i will have sold off all but four of my milled British coins, two of which i couldn't sell if i tried (and i have!) really battered Charles II half guinea (dateless) and a William III half crown, counterstamped and worn to heck, both currently relegated to pocket piece duties. And of course the two coppers, 1806 half penny and 1807 penny, both low grade, both sentimental value only. And i've come close to parting with them before.

At the moment i'd say my Athelstan penny was the safest, all my other coins live from day to day fear of being sold depending pretty much on the weather.

I haven't sold much other than doubles and special requests so all my stuff is considered keepers until necessity takes over, and I have too many favorites, but this would have to be among the top of them:

50th Anniversary of the Unified Kingdom of Italy, 10 centesimi. I really need to reimage (dealer's old pic).. this thing is a perfect BU with purple luster and bits of red shining through. The best I've ever seen of the type!

  • I have 2 that will never leave my collection, both were gifts from members here on this message board.

    image

Got this from a wee-mouse for a cool little trivia competition he had a while back.

The other one, I have never gotten around to scanning. It's a Britannia that I won in a giveaway from Cosmic, a long time ago.

I remember that contest. That was one of the more entertaining giveaways ever.

None of the giveaway coins I have gotten from this forum have left or will leave my collection unless they are given away for someone else to enjoy. You know what else, they are all really nice coins!!

Yep, I won some in that one too.. the Inaugurata contest image

Those prizes are among my top keepers as well. In fact, while most of my top quality stuff has gone into airtites recently, those are still in the wrappings Mac sent them in image

Mac's Inaugurata contest was cool, and the prizes were awesome. Mine's still in its original wrapping too.
