Fellow forum member picks off a cool coin for $30. I buy said cool coin from him for $60, giving him a quick flip for double his money. I list cool coin at $1 no reserve, and it brings over $200. He does well, I do well, and the original submitter takes it in the shorts.

Memorial, 1961 proof in PCGS PR67RB. I also just sold one in PR66RB for $145. That one I pulled from a $12 proof set.

Could any of you geniuses tell me how to determine if a freaking one cent penny is PR66 or 7 or 8. I bought enough proof sets in my younger years--it's about time I make some money on those stinkers.

Not cam or anything? Why the $$$? Perhaps a doubled die or something?

I'll need to go have a good look at a raw '61 proof penny I've got in the box, be that the case. It's a very nice gem, not cameo or anything, but perhaps there's something else I need to look for!

BTW, I offered the PR67RB (the $200 one) to another forum member for $90. I was actually breaking a rule of acquisition by seeking so little profit.
