Time for a fun giveaway...Winner: Oldnewbie

The contest: Guess how many speared bison Jeff nickel coins will be offered for auction on ebay, active on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 5:00 PM Central Time.
The prize: The United States $3 Gold Pieces: 1854-1889 by Q. David Bowers with Douglas Winter autograhed by Bowers, Winter, and Richard Jewell, whose collection provided the plate coins for the book. It is my favorite coin book in years! Retail value: $55.00. But wait! I will throw in a "pre-speared™" bison nickel from the Denver Mint and a Silver American Eagle (sans spear, but pedigreed to the Littleton Coin Company).
The fine print: One guess per person. No edits, mgoodm3. US residents/citizens only, please. Members offering a speared bison on ebay on that date excluded (for obvious conflict). Deadline for guesses is noon on April 26.
Any disputes will be handled by Longacre, since he is a lawyer (gentleman and a scholar) and already owns the book.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Thanks for the chance!
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
Does this include the new "speared from the rear" variety?
To me, that looks like a scratch. It does not count. There is a "speared keister" Philly coin on ebay which does count, since the metal is clearly raised.
What are the rules anywho, is it the closest or the closest without going over?
