Some great images of some great coins, thanks to TonedPeaceNut, K6AZ and "The Phantom"...

I was merely an observer, as TonedPeaceNut adeptly and patiently shot images of some of "The Phantom's" coins, using an excellent photo/lighting set-up recommended by K6AZ.
If you have any questions regarding the particulars of the lighting setup and/or imaging, please ask one of those very unselfish and helpful individuals. I might be able to answer questions about the coins, themselves.
Enjoy....

While I think I did a pretty good job capturing the luster and color on these coins, it wasnt easy -- the 1883 half and the IHC are proofs and it was tough to capture the color coming off the surface of the mirrors. Both of these coins look much better in person.
When you see a collection such as this, it really puts your own collection into focus. I may never be able to have a group of coins like this -- but it certainly shows what is capable if you have the right passion, knowledge, financial ability and relationship with the right dealer(s).
Thanks to Eric (K6AZ) who really helped me out with the equipment recommendations and lighting. It has made a world of difference in the quality of my pics and the ease at which I can take them.
By the way -- these are all "1st" attempts.
Enjoy them as much as I did!

Nice group, thanks for sharing.
I do have a question. Did Mark name this collector "The Phantom" or did he choose it himself?
Someone please pass me a drool bucket, quick!
<< <i>Great photos! Is there a past thread about the photography set-up? >>
Xbob, here is a link to a thread on the subject. The images in this thread were taken using the setup mentioned by K6AZ/Eric in that other thread. link to thread with copy-stand/lighting information
<< <i>I dig that Bust Dime, what's the grade? What is the likely cause of that particular toning? Wayte Raymond album? >>
Seth, the 1807 Dime was graded AU58 PCGS and my best guess is that the toning was acquired through storage in an album.
<< <i>I do have a question. Did Mark name this collector "The Phantom" or did he choose it himself? >>
Carl, my client chose the name "The Phantom".

Also, I'd like to point out that the 1807 Dime is a rare early die state dime. Only one set of dies were used to make all 165,000 of these dimes (I think they used them until they disintegrated). Most of them have heavy die-clash marks which you can see between 1 and 3 O'Clock in the rt. obverse field.
