VISIT TO THE ANA

I live in Colorado Springs and went to Hallenbecks on Friday and the guy there was telling me about this event going on at the ANA on Saturday and decided we just had to go! My 7 year old son has really taken an interest in coin collecting as well and I knew he would really enjoy it too! So we packed up the family and went to the ANA!! My son and my 4 year old daughter got to play coin bingo, an event they had going on for kids and my son won an uncirculated 1994 penny and a blank planchet...both in a packet together. Then downstairs they each got a coin stamped from a blank planchet...well, more like a token image that says ANA on it..really cool token I must say! They really enjoyed looking at the old machines and all that money!! image Really cool experience overall and I just wanted to share it!! Now I am really anxious for the Colorado Springs Coin Show in July!! I'll post the info from the flyer I have for those that don't already know ...

    Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, it really was a lot of fun. We had the Money Museum filled most of the day and lots of activities for everyone.

If anyone else is in the Colorado Springs area, stop by and see our latest exhibit . . . "Oops! Mistakes on Money" . . . lots of really cool errors.

  • I'm silly,
I live in the Springs and knew about some open house they had at the ANA museum on Friday night but didn't go. I was at soccer with my kids Saturday but could've gone had I known what was in store.

    Now I'm bummed...
Some call it an accumulation not a collection
