Opinions on this 1800 Bust Dollar

The seller had it graded at VF-20, I graded it F-12 and was willing to go $950 (It sold for $1,050). I think I'm happier without it

It's sure not a VF and it looks like it has been cleaned at some point also. I think you were wise to stop at $950.

The sharpness grade of the coin is Fine-12, but if the color in the photo is accurate, I don't like the coin one bit. I think that it is AT.

As a Fine the coin went cheap according to the Gray Sheet. The current type coin bid/ask is $1,035 / $ 1,135. I think this coin had problems.

I grade it fine. But not original looking.

I don't think it has the right "look." It should have that characteristic dark toned look to it.

Still a nice coin, but dipped or cleaned perhaps.
