Coin grading experiment, Part 1. Do this one first.

I was looking at Coinguy1's grading thread a few days back and realized like everybody else did that the grades were all over the place and very inconsistent. The pics were smallish and I figured that was the reason for all of the inconsistency. Now I want to see if I figured right. For Part 1 I have four coins two copper, two silver, toned and untoned for you to grade. The pics are 200 X 200 which is about what the originals in the previous thread were. Grade the coins. I'll try to tabulate some results from the data and then part will consist of the same four coins in 700 X 700 format and we'll do it again. They are all uncirculated. I tried to include coins that I haven't posted recently or haven't told the grade. Oh, this thread is Coinguy1 approved.

Do we suck at grading all images or does size matter?

Your pictures are all nice and you get the colors well. The problem is, you can only tell so much from a picture. They are all nice unc coins, but I can't give you an accurate pinpoint grade from just the pictures.

That's kinda the point of this excercise. I want to see if accuracy improves with picture size.

the more i look at #2, the more I apprecaite it.

but the same goes for #1.

What i mean is, #1 is darker, yet has just as much detail as #2.

#2 has eye appeal due to its ?luster?, the original shiny coating. (i do not know the correct term yet).

But, maybe #1 was minted just like I see it now? It appears on the obverse that some
has been worn away, but on the reverse, one would expect to see some in the small
crevice places. there is none. making me think that is the way it should look.

it is almost like #1 does have more detail than #2.

It's hard to tell what the luster is like from the photos... but here goes it...
63rb (64rb if the luster is better than indicated)
65rd (or 66rd if the luster is better, rb if the color is worse than indicated)
66 (67 if the luster is nicer)
66 (this you can tell has nice luster, just can't tell if the marks are minor enough for ms67).
