Why am I not surpirsed... Last I looked, the 54B were up to $2,500. Sent him another email:

    Hi,

What happened? I was going to make a bid but the auction was cancelled. Did you not get the prices you were looking for? Please let me know because I may still have an interest in the '54 Bowman box.

    Thanks!

    Wow, he responded:

    ...

The credit card I had on file evidently expired so until I get a new on they won't let me list anything. The consignor is taking offers on anything that was listed before I go and relist it and pay listing fees again. If you're interested shoot me any buy prices and I'll see what I can do, thanks.

    ...

    I came back with this:

That's too bad but perhaps we can still make a deal. I may be interested around the closing price of +/- $2,000... Since you are now in contact with the owner, could you please get a scan of the front and back of the packs? If we can come to an price agreement, please remember that I'll need a physical address and phone number for overnight payment. Look forward to hearing back from you soon.

    Thanks!!

    EDIT -

    A quick response:

Thanks but I've already had an offer of 5,000.00 that the consignor is thinking over. But thanks for your interest.

    ...

I'm done with this slime bag.... He ain't going to give out his address nor phone number.

This guy missed his calling in life. With his ability to quickly think up hilarious jokes, he coulda been bigger than Robin Williams.
