wow 50 replies in a couple of hours, i think I made my point LOL
With all due respect there are probably only a handful of posters at any given time that have the knowledge to answer a VAM question.
However, all or at the very least most of the posters can certainly answer the question you posed.
I understand your point but those items that can be responded to by more posters (fortunately or unfortunately dependent upon how you look at it) will always receive the most replies.

Pretty true and since things have calmed down some, the title is a bit inflamatory. At least it invites it. VAM threads has become a fairly hot topic recently when compared to a year or two ago. But, there only a small handful that really can give a thourgh answer especially since it`s still somewhat a " specialty " field of Morgans and Peace dollars. It`s no biggie to vent every once in awhile and maybe tempor and/or choose a different way of putting it. I put my foot in my mouth around here enough to know.

"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose." John Marnard Keynes, The Economic Consequences of the Peace, 1920, page 235ff
I have been here for nearly three years and have seen a lot of twists and turns. The forum goes in seasons with varying signal to noise ratios. But there are some things I'd like to see less of:
1. Disrespectful posts 2. People selling in the wrong forum 3. Antagonizers 4. All the innuendo and related references/pics/jokes/signs/etc that are constantly posted here by some
Because this is the most trafficked site, there are more issues. Just gotta have a good filter.
rude and sarcastic posters who never seem to have anything nice to say about anything, and giant pics in sig line - otherwise this place is gr-r-r-eat, and I love it!
This place is tops. Don`t through the baby out with the bathwater.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly."
Not that we hate so much but, when board members post all the wonderful pics, it would be nice if they mention the grade. To see the grade, with the pic, is very educational in helping determining grades.

Otherwise, this forum is quite enjoyable!

there is bad, insulting and inane. On balance a very worthwhile Forum for
coin collectors.
