Question on returning coins to the mint for replacement

When you send something back to the mint for replacement (in my case a a proof set) do they notify you that they have recieved it and sent a replacement?

When I returned my 2003 sets, I asked for replacements on the return form. My CC was credited for the purchase price which caused me some concern. A couple of weeks later, I receive three new sets but no charges appeared on my CC!
I had to call them to get it straightened out!
Who knows, maybe you'll have better luck!
The name is LEE!
She said the process was I would be credited for the return, then charged separately for the replacement sets, and that the sets had been sent out today. The e-mail didn't explain any of that, it looked like I had just been credited for the return, so the communication wasn't very good. But it only took a week from the day I sent it regular post to response from the mint so I thought that was pretty good. We'll see how long it takes to get the two replacement sets but after my conversation with them I expect them to arrive soon.
One odd thing, I paid the USPS for a delivery confirmation and that has never arrived. Perhaps it is in the mail, but I heard from the mint before getting the delivery confirmed.
