The coin only grades a VG-10, and given that grade it's not unusual for a silver dollar to pick up a minor rim bump or two. All it takes is one minor drop on stone floor sometime during the last 100 years, and you have a rim bump.
Given the overall look of the coin, I'd say that this looks pretty nice for an 1889-CC in VG-10. You can see uglier coins in higher graded holders.
