Anything Better Than Junk Silver?

BloodManBloodMan Posts: 1,833 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently received several dozen coins from my father’s collection. I sorted through most of the junk silver and found a few notable coins. I am not sure of the numismatic value of these few. Perhaps some forum members can glance at these and let me know how they grade and if the Morgans are of any interesting variety.

1. - 1821-50C
2. - 1879-$1
3. - 1879-S-$1
4. - 1883-O

This is my first post to the board. I appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Thanks.

The half and the last Morgan are better than scrap silver, but the '79s aren't worth terribly much more image. Cool half BTW.

I'd grade the Half Dollar F15 or so but with the two large hits on the obverse I'd go to VG. As far as value goes, maybe $50 if you can find the right buyer. Nice coin by the way!

    Congrats on the find!

Perhaps the price is just too steep.

Those are great pictures of nice collector coins. Certainly not junk, but certainly not going to let you retire early. I would think being from your father's collection would command a higher value for you than what you would receive through a sale.
