Coin #6 is a 1893 Costa Rica 25 Centavos, I paid $12 for this one, and under the flap is says A Flick 11/20/84
Coin #7 is a 1931 Latvia 5 Lati, I paid $10 and bought it because it was cool!
Other coins I pick up but didn't photograph

Yes, but they are quite popular nowadays. They go for $30.00 - $40.00 on eBay in that grade. Plus, I like 'em. image

I find your use of the term 'nickel' very interesting. A few years ago we were at the TOREX show and I used the terms 'nickel, dime, and quarter and a certain Canadian dealer informed me in no uncertain terms, that Canadians call them 5c pieces, 10c pieces, and 25c pieces respectively. BTW, that was not a very good way to get me to spend my money at his table.

I'm pretty sure I know who you're talking about. Yes, the correct terminology is "5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents", etc. I deliberately use "nickel, dime, quarter", etc at coin shows, just to be annoying image

Outside of coin collectors, everyone uses the terms "nickel, dime, quarter", etc. And, even among coin collectors, it's not uncommon.

I'm glad that MadMarty is nowhere near where I live ... all those darkside proof sets I was looking at today should be safe for a while until I can decide which ones I want ... between Great Britain, Falklands, Jersey, Panama, Jamaca, British Virgin Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, and a few other Carribean countries it would take me a while to decide. Then again, almost broke down for a Queen Victoria set if it would have been for sale ... 1890s vintage in original velvet case.

At least there weren't very many nice Kennedy's ... but there were a few nice Cam Frankies that showed up ... fortunately I can resist those.

Didn't see any Cook Islands that I can remember. Thought the Panama sets were different considering the range in size of the coins, but I doubt I would touch them or any of the Franklin Mint stuff struck for any of the Caribbean nations ... all of which were early 70s material. Might get a few of the UK sets at the next show ... the one Bailywick set he had should be interesting. Only Faulkands set that was amusing was the 1982 set with the "Liberation of the Fauklands" commem.
