OK Canada experts, I need help with this one.

I picked up a 53 set today. Is it a PL set or a mint set. It was in a Capital holder and a few of the coin are very nicely toned. It could use a trip to NCS to remove some of the haze. Opinions? I'll tell you what I paid later.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Looking at the nickel, I'd have to say mint state, thought it's impossible to really tell from the scan. I find the easiest way to differentiate MS from PL nickels is to look at the flatness of the letters and numbers in Canada and the date. If they appear flat, the coin is a PL, rounded, the coin is MS. A comparison against known coins is often needed.
The apparent die polish lines in the field behind the beaver on the reverse have me second guessing myself, though.

Ya, but that's pretty poor consolation for having to live there.

What does NCS charge to remove the fingerprints and haze?
