Got my 1917 SLQ type-1 back from PCGS - guess what?

As some may recall, I hemmed & hawed over submitting this coin for the past 7 years or so...it was David Hall's comments at the ANA show in Pittsburgh that planted the seed of resubmission. To refresh - the coin was in an old ANACS holder, and the coin was listed as MS63. I showed it to David at the show and asked why it was not designated "FH" - he said that the holder was so old that ANACS didn't recognize the FH designation at the time it was entombed.
The next worry was how to go about resubmitting - crossover or crackout????
After some very good advice from members, I chose the crackout route, and used one of my free membership grading certificates to send it in. (Boom scared me with a horror story of a SLQ he submitted, so I was extra worried while waiting to get my grade..) Anyway, here are the "before" pics of the coin:
Now - the tension is over - I just got my grades emailed, and the coin not only got the "FH", it was bumped up to MS64 (even though I think it's a 65
) I guess I can wait awhile and try submitting for regrading a couple of times - if it makes 65, it would be well worth the $$ spent!
Anyway, all's well that ends well, just thought I would share the good news with all of you!

Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."
I recently got a new copy stand, and when I get the coin back, I will try to get some better pics of the detail.....you would all laugh if you saw the set-up I'm using now for pictures - I'll just tell you that it involves a good deal of duct tape! But the toning looks even nicer in hand than the pictures show - lots of other subtle colors that don't show with artificial lighting.
ps - Cameron - don't you have any swimsuit shots of the twins? ( in the spirit of Sports Illustrated......)It's funny - my daughter was just watching reruns of Full House the other day, and they had to be about 2 years old - am I really aging that quickly?
