23 or 28 Peace?

Link. It's certainly no UNC, and for the price I threw the dice. If it's really a 23, it's gonna make a good pocket pieceimage

    Looks like an 8 but you may not receive the pictured coin.

    The listing states "1923", although the pic certainly appears to be a 1928 the seller may be attempting to elicit bids by posting a pic of a 1928. As long as it is listed as a 1923 and the seller does not state that you will recieve the coin pictured, it isn't worth the bother.

    The coin pictured is a 8, sure hope you get it, would be a very nice score!

    FWIW, my max bid was €6.50 which I thought would have been broken. Looking back at this sellers previous auctions, he mostly sells German commemoratives. IMO, it was worth the risk...no guts, no glory.

    The coin pictured is a '23. Look at the loop in the "2" and notice how it's closed too. It's just a '28 in the picture...or maybe an '88.

    Maybe its one of those 1928 Peace dollars that look like a 1923 but they really are a 1928...look at this Ebay Link

    My German isn't too super . . . so I never know if the fine print reads:
