Yeah, with Drew 'the Statue' Bledsoe at QB, and lord knows who at RB, they'll definitely own the Iggles.

    /sarcasm off
  • kuhlmannkuhlmann Posts: 3,326 ✭✭
Um Julius Jones at running back. you forget he almost posted 1000 yards in 8 games last year. and bledsoe is a major upgrade from vinny!

Of course the lord knows . Everyone knows the hole in the roof at Texas Stadium is there so the great one upstairs can watch Cowboy football ! ! !

    HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey - Jones is a heckuva runner. Staying healthy will be his only problem. If he's healthy, he's very dangerous. But how many Super Bowls did Barry Sanders play in?

Lemme just count something for a second...one, two uh yea eleven...there are eleven players on offense who must be good to get to the Super Bowl, not just one.

    image Cowboys!!!!!

collecting various PSA and SGC cards
  • Cowboys will make the playoffs next year.

Drew is still a great QB, Jones is on his way to greatness, the D is tough...

A Raven like team IMO, with a little more O and a little less D.
    Am I speaking Chinese?

Unlike the Cowgirls, the Bucs didn't have a full team of skill position guys they had to upgrade/replace.

And special teams are as important as offense and defense...if you don't agree, why don't you look at who the Patriots franchised (yes, their kicker).

Gotta love that cowgirl fan ignorance!

LMAO . Dude you guys were 5-11 weren't you ?

Since you guys are so set at the " skill positions " , perhaps your coach needs to find where exactly your weakness are

  • hows dexter coakley doing?? didnt mention that?? I think thats a nice pickup for StLouis
Looking to Trade and Buy Tony Romo GU/Autos/RCS

This all sounds like the Cowboys are going to have a great pre-season record. Maybe 4 - 0. They might even win the Pre-Season Championship.

Ahh...but when the regular season starts image
  • kuhlmannkuhlmann Posts: 3,326 ✭✭
yeah no doubt 5-11!! real skilled team there!

nice pick up on coakley hate to see him go. but parcells is going with the bigger lbs he always liked. coakley will get you some nice big plays he is solid.

stevek i understand your pi$$ed! losing trotter and not signing anything to help you guys improve.

but you gotta admit boys are making good signings, not breaking the bank. rivera guard from packers is about to sign also.

    we back!!

Coakley was a solid player with Dallas for years

Cowboys are switching to a 3-4 so coakleys role would've been diminished
  • You had to know Coakleys days were numbered when he started splitting time with James. The Boys just need a saftey that can cover so Roy can blitz more where he is more effective!
    Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!! image

Woodson retiring didn't help their D either. They sorely missed him last year, and you're right they definitely need someone back there who can let Williams do what he does best.

Collectors Universe has issued a statement that they are now going to start deleting all positive threads about the Cowboys. Only negative threads such as "Cowboys Suck" or "Parcell's Is Over The Hill" or "Jerry Jones Is An A**hole" or "Any Grandmama Can Play Quarterback Better Than Any Cowboy's Quarterback" are allowed to be posted.

Howard would look great with the star . The Cowboys have lacked a solid pass rusher since Charles Haley

Sources: Cowboys may deal Nguyen to Saints for DE

12:02 AM CST on Saturday, March 12, 2005

By JEAN-JACQUES TAYLOR / The Dallas Morning News

IRVING – The Cowboys, who have not had a defensive end with double-digit sacks in nearly a decade, are in serious negotiations with New Orleans to acquire defensive end Darren Howard, two sources said Friday night.

The sources said the Cowboys are considering trading middle linebacker Dat Nguyen and a second-round pick in April's draft to New Orleans for Howard.

Howard (6-3, 275 pounds), a five-year veteran from Kansas State, had 11 sacks last season and 41 in his career. The former second-round pick had 11 sacks as a rookie.

He is currently involved in a salary dispute with the Saints, who have placed the franchise tag on him, meaning his salary is equal to the average of the five highest-paid defensive ends. If he doesn't sign the contract by 3 p.m. Monday, he and the Saints can't negotiate a long-term deal that would help the Saints lower his salary-cap figure in 2005 and provide him with the long-term security that he desires.

If the Cowboys acquire Howard, who will turn 29 in November, it would be an indication that Parcells wants to use the 4-3 as his base defense this season because Howard would be considered an undersized defensive end in the 3-4.

Howard and Greg Ellis would be the defensive ends, and La'Roi Glover and Jason Ferguson, signed to a five-year, $21.5 million deal last week, would be the defensive tackles.

They would form Dallas' best defensive line since the early '90s, when the Cowboys were one of the elite teams in football.

They would also have three defensive linemen capable of beating one-on-one blocking in pass-rushing situations, something the Cowboys haven't had in several years. Tony Tolbert had 12 sacks in 1996, the last time the Cowboys had a player with at least 10.

Surrounded by other outstanding pass-rushers when he played in New Orleans, Glover once had 17 sacks in 2000 and 50 in five seasons with the Saints.
  • Yea that would be great and if the Boys can get Sharper that would be awesome!
    Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!! image
  • Sharper has signed with Minny so we still need to get a safety somehow so Roy W can play his natural position

They've really improved the team so far . Still have the 2 #1 picks as well
