    Uh Oh, registered in the UK. You will now probably be told that they will be sending a $10k cashier's check, and for you to wire the balance of $7k.

    I saw that,

    I was searchin the bay and saw the listing, clicked it and saw "item has ended" checked and saw the bidder had a zero rating and thought to my self. "hope he is just a newby and pays for it!"

    I did a little research for you and my conclusion it is def. a scam. I searched through all of the items he has bid on and / or won, and today alone he won more than $10k worth of stuff. Each item was with a different seller. I hope everything works out but I would use very very extreme caution. I would wait 10 business days for a check to clear.

    All of those sellers for those music equipment must be like oh yeah, i can't believe someone used the BIN on that $3500.00 item, meanwhile its a scam.

    Don't be surprised if you receive fraud email to your email account within a few days..... Let's review the top 10 fraud emails people send to try to get you to give them your info...

    1) Phonebuyer has been added to your paypal account....
    2) Someone has tired to access your ebay account 5 times and we've disabled it...
    3) A Credit card has been added to your paypal account...
    4) Your paypal payment to phonebuyer was successful...
    5) Your ebay account has been suspended....
    6) Your ebay account credit card has expired....
    7) Your paypal credit card has expired...
    8) Your paypal account has been suspended...
    9) Your ebay account has been suspended becasue you broke the rules...
    10) Someone has tried to access your paypal account 5 times and we've disabled it....

    Its so funny, they email me about paypal stuff to an email address that I don't even have paypal with.

    You have stated in your listing that you will ship to the U.S. only. If he's from the UK, why not just tell him to learn how to read?

    I'd recommend waiting to re-list it.

    He could report YOU to eBay and get YOU NARU'd with proof your reselling HIS coin. So what if you have to wait a few days. You'd have to relist your coin anyway if no one else had bid.

    I doubt if he's legit but at this point in time you don't have any proof of that.

    I do believe blocking him from any of your other bids is the best course of action untill he proves himself otherwise.

    If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!! image

    Access his info and try giving him a ring. If the phone number or mailing address is invalid you can go ahead and relist and apply for credit with eBay, and have him NARU'd.

    Doug, if you don't ship out of the US you can avoid these foreign scams by going to My Ebay, select seller preferences, and click on the box that says "block bidders from countries I don't ship to".

    I am always puzzled as to why someone would spend all that time to bid on stuff with no intention of buying.

    Setting up an ebay account is a PIA then bidding on 44+ auctions, etc. I guess some people have time to kill?
