Filling holes in UK silver type set

Apologies if this post should be on the buy sell trade forum but I don't know how many of you frequent there, so I will try here first. A quick scan of flea bay lead me to conclude that there are very few US dealers so I would end up paying a lot in postage

I am looking to fill a few (of the cheaper) holes in my 20th century UK type set. I am looking for

George V shilling 1911-1926
George VI shilling 1947-1948 (English arms)
George VI shilling 1947-1948 (Scottish arms)
George VI shilling 1949-1951 (Scottish arms)
Elizabeth II shilling 1954 - (Scottish arms)

Elizabeth II florin 1953 and anything later

Elizabeth II half crown 1953

George V crown 1927-1936
(OK so I know this one ain't cheap but has anybody got one for sale!)

I am not looking for top grade coins, I would just like to see the set complete first before I upgrade.

Please PM me if you can help

Edited to add: I have also copied the message to the buy sell forum

  • There is a forum member that deals in UK coins. He doesn't have everything, but maybe he knows where to get it... the forum name is Blackhawk, and he has a website I've been to.
See US coins, on my website
  • Hi DrJules - the website TraderDave is referring to is mine, I think!

Blackhawk is one of my Guest Dealers on OnlineCoins. Feel free to have a browse (if I recall correctly you are already a registered member?) and let me know if you need any help with the online ordering if you find anything that meets your requirements.

    Cheers

If you're looking for XF-AU coins, don't pass up the chance to search a dealer's junk box. I find a lot of copper-nickel British coins in them. image

I'm sifting through a bulk lot as we speak.

I just plucked a out a few pieces that might help you (depending on how choosy you are about grades).
1939 George VI English reverse shilling, VF (plus another, dated 1940- similar grade but holed, for your keychain!)1955 Elizabeth II Scottish reverse shilling, EF++1953 Elizabeth II florin, F (I'm sure I have some better ones somewhere- if I find a nicer one I will substitute!)
Plus a couple George VI florins and/or halfcrowns in both .500 silver and copper-nickel, and a 1921 George V halfcrown. A Charles & Diana wedding crown and a Churchill. And plenty more I probably have not noticed yet.

If you want the three coins in bold type above (plus the keychain holey), mail me $1.00 and a self-addressed, stamped envelope (with two stamps on it).
