Does anyone have this dealer's phone number? UPDATE

In November I sent a check to K & K Collectibles after speaking with Jim and agreeing on a price for 50 mint sets. I waited for a month without receiving them. I called the store in late December and was told that due to moving and the holidays that my coins would be shipped after the first of the year. I waited to mid-January and again no coins. I called again and Jim asked me to send a copy of the cancelled check as he could not find my name in his records, although he stated that he did remember our initial conversation. I faxed the cancelled check to him and confirmed that he did receive it. I was told that the sets would be sent out promptly. Well guess what, no sets. I tried to call him again and found that the phone number on his web site, the same one that I had called previous has been disconnected. I emailed Jim and 2 days later recieved an answer that he would have the sets out to me in a couple days. That was about 2 weeks ago and no sets. I emailed him again 3 days ago and as of this posting I have not received an answer. Does anyone out there have a phone number or a way to contact this dealer so that I can try and resolve this without a lawyer. At this point all I want back is the money. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BOB

No business moves to a new location without either keeping their old phone number or setting up some kind of call forwarding system. This is not looking good.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Ouch! I agree with the local sheriff AND reporting the dealer to the ANA (if he is a member) and to the BBB. I am sorry that this happenned to you.

We have a winner!
<< <i>I think the dealer saw this thread. I received a call about a day after I posted this and he did send 14 of the mint sets in question along with a check for the remainder. I was happy until today when I saw that the check had bounced. Time to give him another call. >>
Get a postal money order and not another check.

That info was good within the last 60 days. He owns that home & the phone # is registered to a K. Prindle.
I would encourage anyone with any interest in Dempsey to search the site below for official records under Sunshine Rarities and/or James Dempsey.
