Heritage sale $37,950

Teletrade sale

Does anyone know why you'd pay huge $$ for a coin then try to sell it 9 months later? I guess this could be someone wealthy who doesn't know that that's a lot of money.

Yes, another OVERUSED term meant to hype anything and everything. These days, it's like declaring a coin is "round" image

    I'd guess that's the seller's bid.

The coin is nice, but I don't think that it's THAT outstanding. It has a sort of dull, washed out look from the pictures. Also the mark from the cheek to the chin and field will prevent it from upgrading UNLESS the standards are lowered.

I know that I sound really negative here, but when the price reaches $ 37,950.00 one tends to get more fussy. image

Here's the coin from my collection, which currently in a PCGS AU-50 holder. It was graded many years ago and might upgrade today.

Nice coin Bill, I'd be proud to call that one mine.
