The Chattanooga Show March 4-6, and The GNA Show are two of the best regional events in this area. If you click the GNA show link you'll also see information on the Whitman show in Atlanta. All these shows should be great!

That is an awesome show with cherrypicking aplenty.
<< <i>Thems a long way from Richmond. >>
What a wuss. I just drove to DC from Atlanta to buy a coin from Wayne Herndon. Richmond is 100 miles closer.
These are some good regional shows. Certainly worth a couple hundred mile drive.

Couple hundred? Try 500 miles!

Unfortunately I was conscripted into forced labor at work for a company move. But eventually I'll make it.

Roll Call for tomorrow please. I'll be there.
The bourse was PACKED! There were so many people it was difficult to move around. There was even a consistent line of at least 15 people at the concession stand! I witnessed lots of transactions taking place, not just lots of "browsers" looking at coins. I think this is a direct result of the recent Long Beach show. Many dealers' inventories were infused with new material from that show. Mostly, it was the usual: Morgans, early Commems, Morgans, gold, Morgans, and did I mention Morgans? It seemed to me that the rainbow-toned coin market might be slowing a bit, as many dealers' cases were overloaded with the stuff and it did not appear to be moving.
On a personal note, I did manage to upgrade three of the halves in my Barber set (no key dates). As usual, there weren't many original midgrade Barber Halves to be found.
