Overpriced ebay stuff

I was wondering if the constant supply of suckers who are paying way to much for coins sets, especially proof sets,
is having an effect on actual values?

There's no such thing as "way too much". eBay is one of the most efficient markets ever devised. Prices for auctioned items are pretty much exactly what the market is for those items at that time. There's a world of difference between "too much" and "more than you would pay".
  • I was wondering at what price one became a sucker? If I see something I like and pay what I want for it does that make me a sucker? If I only paid a dollar over what you would pay or I paid 100 dollars more what is the diffrence. It may mean that I really like it and will pay for it. Just like music or art work, some pieces people pay alot for while others would not give a dime.

If it doesn't sell it could have been "overpriced" but how can one say an item is "overpriced" if the item sells?

What is the "actual value" of a collectible coin? Hint: Price guide listings do not show "actual value."
