This doesn't need to be reported to EBAY.......with NO Feedback and private bidders list.......he will be lucky to break even on the two cards..........
Besides his new ebay identity has him living in Florida instead of Texas.........so I believe he has perhaps his "Cousin Bubba" selling the cards for him now.

Of course it's been reported. In a few days he'll be NARU again, and another zero feedback will be posting these same cards. But I agree with Nick, we shouldn't have the slightest concern about the high bidder.
<< <i>Of course it's been reported. In a few days he'll be NARU again, >>
In this case one of the catagories he is listing this card under is REPRINTS, so this attempt to sell these two cards is legitimate and the seller not likely to go NARU.

It's listed under more than one category including one for originals. Even if it was only listed in reprints you can't hint at the possibilty that the card is for real.
What's really slimy is that he KNOWS it's a reprint, he bought it as such for about $117 on eBay. He paid about $115 too much and is looking for his money back, plus extra by implying that it's legit.
At first I thought he had been scammed himself. But after his snotty I'm-a-scammer-and-you-can't-stop-me speech in this thread, I think he paid so much for an obvious repro specifically because the word "reprint" doesn't appear. He planned all along to pass it off as real. Witness his initial sales pitch that he found it in a barn sale. At least the guy who hosed him stated that he was selling it as a reprint, a warning flag to even the greenest newbie.
Since he found this thread, hopefully he gets the idea that he ought to stop this nonsense before he gets himself into real trouble. You got suckered on the repros, dude. Probably so did the guy who sold 'em to you. But he made a head-fake toward the truth by saying "I'm selling as reprints." You fell for it anyway. Eat the loss and move on.
I have been watching the progress of the auctions for the 52 mantle and 33 Ruth from our ( my) favorite EBAY scammer. The two auction were not getting much action The Ruth was up to $31.00 and the Mantle a little lower.........................low and behold the auctions are now GONE..........
Scammer probably found another outlet in which to scam...or will try again later on................

His next step, if he follows the EBAY SCAMS 101 textbook: Get a new ID, build up a little feedback buying cheap modern junk and more reprints, take his shiny new fakes and try to make them look old (wear down the corners, maybe crease and tear them a bit), then get creative with a story about where they came from.
Hint, Mr. Scammer-Wannabe: The stories you've been trying have been done to death in thousands of previous scam attempts. Be more original. Such as:
"I was walking down the street when I noticed a colorful baseball card blowing around in the wind. I had to chase it for awhile, but finally caught it under my Yankees cap. Lo and behold, it was a genuine 1952 Topps Mantle! At least it looks old, but I am no expert. I don't have time to send it to a grader, so I am willing to sell it for only 5% of its real value. Money order or Western Union only. No returns. Bid with confidence!"
Comments
"Once card is sold, and sales are final. If I could I would refund, but I need the money."
Does anyone live close to this stain? I'd be willing to throw gas money into your paypal account to make a visit!
