Different Old PCGS Holder... Condor?

White Ring In Holder

This coin is in a firsts generation PCGS holder, but has a white ring around the coin. I could not find Condor's thread to see if it is listed. First I've seen in 4 years.

  • Looks like a ring from an Ait-Tite holder in that slab.image
  • It is in his slab book under the PCGS Miscellaneous section. These are only found with cent size coins and I have seen 4-5 in the last 2 years. It is believed that PCGS ran out of the cent shells and for a short time, and used a larger size shell for cents and put in a foam ring to hold them in place. I had one but sold itimage
