Maybe I shouldn't say anything... but what the heck.
I got a call from a local coin dealer, he has apparently designed a coin for Victoria and he wants me to photograph the gold, silver and bronze versions for it for a Canadian coin publication (and for future use I guess).
Anyway, I gave this guy prints of toned Canadian dollars I bought from him and they blew him away, he said he shows them to everyone, my work in the coin publication would be good publlicity... unfortunately I'll be leaving Canada soon. But maybe my numimatic services will be useful elsewhere (as they've already have).
Anyway, I won't post any images until the publication comes out but I'll keep you updated on what happens and further details.

That's great news, Phil!! Maybe you're on to something! I really like your new sig line image -- please send me the original coins!
Come on over ... to The Dark Side!
But I was wrong! It looks pretty darn good! Apparently the Society worked really hard with a local firm to get it looking just right, they even scrapped the first version. The result was great, nice high relief, good cameo appearance.

I was probably lucky to catch Darkhorse in his early days, soon people will have to offer him the coins he shot ,to repay for the services.

He was happy with my images, and he wants me to do a little bit more work before I go ie postcards, maybe a poster. I'm thinking about what to charge for all this. Always a touchy subject.
Anyway he said he'd actually pass my name on to the RCM itself after he showed me a crummy picture of one of their latest. Cool, huh? He kind of regretted that I'm leaving now.
