Any opinions on this 1855 O Liberty Seated Half...

Well,
I'm guessing somewhere around AU50.....hopefully it hasn't been cleaned,
if it has..off to Anacs... if not I might just send it to NGC or keep it in the book...
I really know nothing about the series.....so hopefully it was a good buy..if not ...

Tom, your coin looks like a solid AU coin (maybe even a 53 or 55) but I can't tell whether it's been cleaned or not. It does appear to be a bit bright/light on the devices, but it might just be the images.

My WAG is AU53. Coin looks a bit blue to me.

The seller had it listed as a XF...and I'm guessing the scan is giving it the bright devices and off color.

While I can't see the coin in person, obviously, it does have the "look" of a potentially cleaned coin.

Looks like a nice AU coin to me. I'd have no trouble goin' 53 on it.

I wouldn't wanna guess on whether it had been cleaned or not- looks like maybe.

You said "keep it in the book"... you mean an album? That sounds like a good plan.

But of course, if curiosity is killing you and you wanna roll the dice and submit it, go fer it.
