That looks like a VAM 1C: Unusual offset of reverse sideways vee clash marks next to top of right wreath. Top set of sideways vee shows three closely grouped clash marks while lower group shows two with a fairly wide separation. These clash marks appear on very early PL die state coins, so possibly die clashes occurred during the die setup in the press.

Thanks! I've been looking for an early dollar for two years. I finally bought this one from Alpine, very fairly priced at $2,450. I agree it is nice for the assigned grade. I may try to upgrade some day--it matches many I have seen in 35 holders. You can see on the pic there is a little luster in the upper wing feathers. I don't see anything in person that should have held it down. All the lines on the reverse are die cracks.
fivecents, while yours has more wear, it still has an original look to it, which is nice.
Still trying to figure this one out...

My favorite?
I have fallen for this $1 California token that was from the Jay Roe collection:

I wouldn't call a winner just yet bustman, it looks like some heavy guns are being pulled out.
To bring this thread back to earth here is my favorite "tarnished" dollar.
Thanks in advance, Pete

Not looking at Bust Dollars tonight... Here are three of my current favorites, all from DLRC
This one just arrived. In hand, stunning, to say the least. Much nicer than the DLRC photo!
Here is some original dirt. Coins that built this country! My .02¢, I love this look in a Morgan
And this one... soft and sweet! Very pretty subtle toning
Enjoy!

Nice addition to your collection.
Of all the 1794's I've ever seen, his is unique in its flashy luster. A full cartwheel on a 1794?
We have a nice type set coming along here, Cardinal's 1794, TDN's Trade Dollar, WindyCity's Perfect 1892 Proof Morgan........
