I hate losing

I really hate losing, at anything. image

I don't understand how two bids got posted either. Sniperight is really spazzed out right now.

These looked pretty good. I am still learning and maybe, one day, I will trust myself to snipe it for a dollar amount that won't have a chance of losing.

Here is the linky thing

Somebody was willing to pay more than you, had nothing to do with sniping.
  • Whenever I really really want to win an auction, I usually figure out the very top price that I would be willing to pay for an item and enter it in the sniper. If it hits lower and I get it - great - if it hits at the top price, I really wanted it anyway so Oh well - if I don't get it - whoever did paid too much in my mind image

I'm not sure I understand why you would be upset after losing by at least 10 dollars.... for me, ebay is about "losing" (i.e. getting to look around more) 80% of the time, and winning 20% of the time....
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
  • You are all correct. $52 seemed like a lot and I would probably be sitting here with buyers remorse if I had won it. I guess I can't win.

Looking at the bright side, like Myqqy, I have $57 to look for other stuff, now.

Often, the high bidder is the loser.

I can't figure out what everyone saw in those proof sets, $40 max for those.. You can pick them up at any coin shop at BID! There are no Cameos, no Accent Hair. So what is the big deal! That auction went for $20 more than it should have!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Often, the high bidder is the loser. Couldn't have said it better, myself. If you get your ego involved in an auction, you become the loser.

I don't know how many times I've been the underbidder on coins which interested me. I bid my max, and if someone else wants the coin more than I do, so be it. Something else always comes along if I'm patient. Sometimes I have to wait years, but something always turns up.

Luvemcoins is a strong bidder who isn't afraid to pony up the cash. I agree with Marty. I can see nothing in that auction that warrants that kind of money.
