I don’t do a whole lot of complaining here but this time I really need to. I have had it with submissions. I submitted a bunch of moderns back in October. I received the coins in January and finally go around to taking a good look at them. Now before I get the usual “why submit that stuff” It was a simple gift for a friend doing a slabbed set of PR half’s. On to the gripe. As you can see there is a problem. Same lighting and everything just a coin swap, the picture says it all.
The other problem is with a bunch of silver Ikes. I picked the best out of a group of thirty-five four years sets. Did a cleanup dip and a month to stabilize to make sure no spots would appear. These were easy 67-68 material. So what I get back are all 67’s with one 66 that is completely off color and so full of hits that no body in their right mind would submit it. It is not the same coin I sent in,,, period. No picture need on that one.
I don’t even want to go into the 1914D $10 gold piece in 2 that I send in for upgrade. It crossed at the same grade (from an NGC holder) AND had a new hit on what was a clean field on the obv. I’m now not pleased with the coin's looks and that was the reason I bought it. I also knew that the jump to a 3 would bring bigger money on resale, so I took my chances and lost big time.
Am I going to see if my icon will upgrade to a CAM? Ummm, maybe on the other side of the street
So that’s it, ban me if you have to, I’ll be a lurker.

If it wasn't for the dates being different I would've thought they accidently swapped the tags.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
<< <i>What do the reverses look like? >>

Does this one look cameo?

My pictures always suck - there is some weakness of the frost on the United showing in the picture, but it isn't as bad in person

<< <i>Did the Jeff go CAM or DCAM Russ? >>
DCAM. The 24th ever graded.

If that is the first time you sent those particular coins in you are not ENTITLED to receive back accurately graded coins, you are required to send them in at LEAST two or more times before you get the true accurate opinion you paid for. So just crack them out and send them back a few more times and eventually you will get the grades they deserve or you might even get lucky and get back a few overgraded pieces where you can recoup some of your loses from the multiple submissions. The sooner you learn how things are really done in this business the better off you will be (much less stress).
