1847 Seated quarter on Yahoo auctions

I normally don't slum Yahoo, but when the demons of coin addiction visit, I lose all control. I was curious what you Seated quarter experts thought of this auction. Scarcity VS the price, is this scarcer and worth the price, or is it more common?

    Looks like a $500-700 coin.

  • Thanks, Ray! I'm having a blast reading all of the informative and entertaining posts! Lemme tell ya...there are some funny people on here! Sadly, my wife fails to see the humor! Seriously, I think I've struck gold by finding this board with regards to learning about coins. I look forward to hours of pleasureable, albeit guilty, reading!
  • Even if you're drooling over it I wouldn't go a penney over $550. It bids for $365 in MS 60 and only $750 in 63

Tougher date to find nice ... hard to find Unc ... that one looks nice ... however I think the price is quite a stretch on that one ... just my opinion
