Lemont, IL a small show, but there are goodies to be found. The roosies cost a whopping $2 each, the Canadian PL sets were $7 each and the 1968 Proof sets were $5. Ended up spending less than $100 and here are the highlights...

That is a real good deal. The Royal Canadian Mint has superb quality control and their proof set quality just crushes the U.S. Mint. That 1963 dollar looks real nice, too, and there certainly is bidding competition on Fleebay for choice Canadian proof sets.

I've been looking for that show for some time now. I tried to get there a few months ago and never did find the place. Some people at the Itaska, Il coin show told me they move that Lamont show to some other place. Was it bigger than the Itaska show?

The Lemont show was a nice show for finds. Missed the 1968-S half, but picked up a 1969-S proof set with a very nice cameo nickel and quarter, and a 1957 proof set with a cameo dime.

My best purchase was not from a proof set - it is an original 1969 mint set with a 1969-S nickel that is about a half a step from being full steps!
