I've considered a few. Unfortunately, nothing that appeals me would pay well enough to allow me to collect the coins I love. So I need to stay put for a while. image

    Porn star

A few years ago, I was visiting New Orleans for a family function and staying at a Canal Street hotel. Lo and behold, there is an international cyberporn convention in town and many of the attendees were staying at the same hotel. I actually got to talking with one of the stars, a middle age guy (who could easily pass for a coin dealer at a local show) who got into the business to fill the role of the middle-aged characters in the movies. Having met him (and others) while they were there for the convention, I feel confident that you, Cam, have what it takes. image You might have to change your name to something like Slam Kiefer.

I hear Laura has considered a career as a diplomat....

Then I'm considering an investment in defense stocks.

  • Oh, sure. I do have careers in Real Estate and Stock investments... They are much more lucrative than coin careers and require much less time......

This is the only profession that I have ever had.

It would be extremely difficult to go into another field and gain the experience that I have had through numismatics.

I consider this to be a great hobby and I am continually excited to be able to earn a living doing something that I love.

How many others can say that?

PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
