  • Aww, how cute... I want one..
  • I'm curious if someone has ever assembled a set of Morgan or peace dollars (or any other series) in PO01.

What a disappointment on the FR02. image

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • My thoughts exactly ... FR02

    Got pics ???

Yeah...any pics? I'd love to see some slabbed P-01 and FR-02 samples. I have a tendency to undergrade any coin that comes in under AG and assume it's Poor.
  • I'm thinking about asking for a presidential review on the FR02. image I'll have to wait till they get back for pics. I'll post them when they arrive.

    Two P-01's? Wow, that's tough!

  • Hmm ... trying for lowest graded Morgan set? One thing about PCGS ... their turnaround times are a bit whacky. Sent in my first big submission in December and got the results today ... thought a couple of coins would have come in higher, and I wasn't expecting the MS65 on the 1921. Looks like there are a few that will be going into my Morgan set ... tho' I couldn't resist the Libety Head nickel ... rainbow toned on both sides.

  • They arrived - here's the 92S. Both of the PO 01's are POP 1's. imageimageimageimage
  • I thought I was the only one this crazy--Just got my Washington Quarter '32D Key back in PO 01. But that is REALLY a Poor 1892S--I wonder can even get an identifiable Basal State example in a Morgan? That ones close!image

Even, smooth wear with that hard dove gray look.

Nice! PQ PO01! Can't beat that. image

Question: what does a "choice" P01 look like?

It seems that, for the purposes of this discussion, a choice P01 should be the absolute worst coin that PCGS will holder. If it is otherwise nice, with smooth wear and few marks, it should *not*, IMHO, be described as a "choice" P01 coin.
