    I still think you should sell me some of your monster DCAM's that have a single little hairline-----Oh and this pic- did you keep the light source behind the tilted glass or above it? It came out GREAT by the way.image

    It's a square priority mail box with a hole cut in the side. The glass plate leans at a 45 degree angle.
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    This is called diffused lighting. I don't like it on MS silver because it strips the luster. It tilts the balance between toning and luster to mostly toning. This is not the way to go for toned silver in my opinion. Here is an example of a toned Morgan without using diffusion:

  • The Mad One's obverse pic does a pretty good job of preserving luster. I don't even like Morgans, but that looks like a real nice coin.

    It's washed out and over exposed, as will happen using diffused lighting. Look at the image I posted using straight lighting.
