Imagine both coins are the same price. Which would you rather have for your collection and why?

<< <i>The second. I love circulated cameos. I bet the fields have a real cool look, too. Oh and the other has that cleaned look I dislike. >>
It is hard to beat that "Old Coin" look especially when the surfaces look free of any marks or nicks.

I actually like both, but if I could only get one I would buy the first one...not the overdate, (hint: if you think you can see an underlying 5 on any 1818 quarter you are wrong-I have never been able to find it on genuine 1818/15's.) but it looks like a Browing-6, a R-5 die marriage.
<< <i>i'd buy the first and hope it's an overdate. it looks like there's something going on at the second "8" but the picture isn't the best quality. i will say this much, it's clear to me that the color on the first picture is way off and the coin won't look anything like the yellow/gold in the picture, just like the second most likely isn't as dark as that picture.

Dammit, you caught it before I did...

Second coin is nice but I say first one for me. I think the spacing between the numerals of the date on the first is kind of cool... 1 81 8...

Let me also say that number one isn't to my knowledge an overdate. I think it's a B-10, not a B-6, but I'm not positive on that.
I'm not sure which one I like better. Certainly the cameo contrast on number two is hard to beat.
