Does PCGS designate CAM/DCAM on PL coins?

Customer Service says yes. This just came back a PL67... Looks CAM to me, I don't understand..

Not on Canadian P/L coins. I have an unanswered question in for Mr Hall regarding this since last fall. Maybe you can get a response.

  • I asked this question last April ...
Do Prooflike (PL) Canadian 5 cent pieces get CAM and DCAM designations, if warranted?

    Answer from PCGS: No

I believe the answer would be "no." If you think about it a DMPL could then be graded MS-66 DMPL DCAM, the DCAM is redundant.

Not for Canadian coins. The PL designates a type of strike, not a condition of the coin.
  • Hey, MadMarty, why don't you ask the kind folks over on the US coin forum?

I'm sure they would be eager to help and give you a definitive answerimage
