It's a German medal commemorating the 80th Birthday of Bismarck. On this reverse we see Germania (like Britannia, the French Marianne or America's Miss Liberty) walking amidst the birthplace of Bismarck, a typically German landscape if I do say so myself having lived there.

The obverse is unusual because it depicts Bismarck in a wide brimmed hat see obverse and reverse.

The medalist was named Oertel. I bought this in Stuttgart and when I laid eyes on it I had to have it. I've never seen another one before or since. Unfortunately the reverse seems to be toning and the blue is fading fast and turning into a reddish gold. Must be because of the envelope I have it in.

I'm sure there's others out there. I've just never seen them on eBay, and I haven't looked hard for another one because, well, I have one and it suits me just fine
