It takes a lot for a proof Lincoln to get me excited!

But this one does! Usually the 70-72 proofs always have chatter in the fields above the date or on the reverse. This one has none and no hairlines!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

When did you learn to detect hairlines? George teach you while you guys were at FUN?

I have a hunch it looks a lot better by now.

There's a way to get that haze of Lincolns, too? If it's not a trade secret, I'd love to learn how to do it.

Or when someone gives me cash!!!
<< <i>Hmm, I cannot be excited by a 1971-S proof cent. >>
Could you get excited about the several thousand dollars it'll bring if it grades PR69DCAM? Even at 68DCAM it's a $450 to $500 coin.
<< <i>Sure, I have seen some in proof sets that have become spotty, but often I see nice DCAM ones. >>
I'll give you triple Greysheet for every single 1971 proof set you find with a nice two-sided DCAM Lincoln. No limit.

I am curious how these proofs grade. I would need 500 to 1000 "unsearched" 1971 proof sets. Then I could grade each to find the distribution of the grades. Has anyone tried this?

So, 1971 greysheet bid is ~$7 or so?
Pay would be ~$21?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
exactly the point of my above post. that's an offer that's too generous to pass up isn't it??
