  • I don't know anything about that series and have only seen pics, never seen one in person, but to me the colors don't look right, just my opinion, and more then likely I'm completly off base.

    Colors do look a little funky.
    I'd grade it AU55.

    The coin has Mint State sharpness, but I've never been a fan of that neon blue toning that is by the liberty cap on the obverse and the words "One Dime" and the top of the wreath on the reverse. It seems to form after chemicals were used to dip the coin. This coin could keep on toning from to something that might be really unattractive.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

  • I think the toneing is kind of ugly IMO. I do think it it NT, and I would grade it and MS62/3 liner that PCGS would probably give a 62.
