Looks dipped

Something just does not seem right with the luster on this coin. Looks dipped to me, but would NGC slab a dipper? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks.Dipped? Or amI a Dip?

Looks OK ... super clean, horrendous -- even worse than typically bad -- strike.

Looks ok, just the lighting perhaps. I have seen some 05 "first strikes" eagles on ebay that look proof. It is just the way the "dealers" are trying to push their coins over someone else's in my opinion.

They do it all the time. In fact they have a division "NCS" that dips and strips and then NGC slabs. Let me add that it is my understanding (not first hand knowledge) that PCGS also offers a similar service to dealers. They just don't publish the fact.

Looks ok to me... If the dipping does not significantly alter the surface of the coin both PCGS and NGC will slab them.
