Received a very nice gift from a fellow board member last week, who cherry-picked this coin.

VAM-2B (Die Break M Obverse), very scarce with about 15 known. Just wanted to say "Thank you!"

    I really like that coin!

1 question though: what happened to it.......cleaned?

Out of curiosity, what kind of premium would that coin sell for due to its VAM designation?

I don't think it's cleaned, maybe dipped though. I did over-sharpen the photo to bring out the details.

1921-D coins with die breaks/varities are trading anywhere from +25% and up over common. Especially rare ones/interesting ones can trade for crazy prices (like filled dies in the reverse motto - try $700 in MS63). I think the price here would be around $40, while common might be $10-15.
