1925 Lexington: AT? and 1876 Qtr: Breen 4080

image I don't own these, both are Raw, and these are the Seller's photo's. Just hoping to get some comments on these two. I feel the Lexington is AT, not sure though? The Seller list's the 1876 Liberty Seated Qtr as a Breen 4080 (Proof Die Rev) in AU condition. Do you guys agree with this and what is the value? Thanks, Lee

  • No idea about the Breen number on the 25c, but that commem screams AT. Look at the way the toning abruptly ends near the center. It should blend out naturally on a target toner. Definitely chemically induced. I do like the reverse though. Pretty colors. But doesn't look natural either.

  • The Lexington's toning looks fugly and there is a big arse print on the obverse. There are better ones out there.

The seated quarter looks cleaned, but could be a bad scan.

Horrible AT. Worse then the one you posted the other day.

Thanks Cameron. I know I can always get an honest opinion from youimage Which is what I'm looking for by the way. No comments on the Qtr? Lee
  • Hard to tell based on the picture for the quarter to tell if it is proof or not. If they are selling AT coins like that lexington you really want to risk your hard earned money on a cleaned AU coin that is probably not Proof? I sure wouldn't.

  • the lex is "at" ...expeirenced collectors and graders pick it right away in 1/2 second because it look funny .....the problem with the lex is that the colors are out of sequence of the pattern that colors develope on coins.... remember the 3 colors that were on those old projection tv sets or...then think of your silver service....when the golden brown starts tarnishing it...you get the polish out...but if you left it go in time you would see the golden brown near the outer edges darken.....over time that would darken to blue...in more time the blue touching the golden brown ( sometimes looking yellow ) would mix to turn to green....so there you have 3 colors already in a target fashion being blue...green...and golden or ( yellow)...reds come into play from a high sulfer content item in the vacinity...not to be nasty here but dentists say that you should always keep your tooth brush at least 6 feet away from the toilet due to air born particals....so the vacinity does not mean right next to it or in contact with it

ps...i keep my toothbrush in the living room :-)
my goal is to find the monsters and i go where they are but i sometimes miss some.... so if you have any and want to sell IM THE BUYER FOR THEM!!!

    What JxnBoy said.

Mega-AT on the commem, although the colors on the reverse are sorta pretty, in an unnatural way.

Sorry. Should have had a hyphen between "big" and "arse"
