Three Days and Bidder Has Not Paid Yet. What to do?

A bidder with 100% positive feedback and countless lauds for fast payment has not paid for my sunday ebay auction. I've sent an invoice twice now. Surely this guy wants my coin because this guy placed a second 'maximum-raiser' bid to increase his chances of winning the auction. Is he taking advantage of my "you have 10 days to pay" rule? Should I send a polite e-mail? what would I say? What are your experiences with late payers?

and then it's a note asking when and how payment is going to be made
for the item.
With 100% feedback give him a couple of more days then send a friendly
note asking about payment.
Just my two cents,

Chuck,
3 days is NOT considered a late payment by most eBay sellers. I would wait a week or so to see if he replies.

Thats a great question and I was wondering the same thing. Its not like a check can be mailed on Sunday.

I would be very annoyed at a reminder after 3 days if I had 10 days to pay.
<< <i>Sale ends on a Sunday, post office is closed Monday and its Wednesday and you are worried about payment from a good feedback buyer? I don't get it. >>
Personally I think the buyer should have communicated with the seller about the method of payment (i.e. "the check will be in the mail on Tuesday" or "I'll send the money through PayPal in two days when my paycheck is deposited into my checking account"), but that's not a requirement on the buyer and it's way too early to think you're going to get stiffed.
It takes longer than that to get a check thru the mail.

Wow , how generous of you. Anyone who pays within 10 days should be considered a "fast Payer"
well i'm sold! I'll take that chill pill now. I guess I was getting used to those who paid with paypal as soon as the auction ended.

I know you've heard it already... BUT ...
1: Maybe he left town for a few days and doesn't have access to PayPal. (The reason he upped his already winning bid)
2: With Monday a holiday the soonest he could pay was Tuesday and even if he sent your payment by Priority Mail (which is the method I use to make payments) you wouldn't receive it until at least Thursday
3: I doubt if the buyer decides now to ruin is 100% feedback rating
4: If you want payment in 3 days (?) state it in your auction
5: I would probably stay up late and worring about it
6: If you haven't yet maybe instead of an email reminder how about sending him an Invoice ??? (Maybe you have one of those confusing auctions that isn't all spelled out?)

OOOhhhh ... Let us know when this "LATE PAYING SCUM" does pay you "IF" he does ...
I negged a guy once for sending daily reminders starting the day the auction closed.

Yeah, and it was probably for a $6 proof set!
Actually you should neg him with Waited 3 days for payment and no response

You can also verify that they are receiving and reading your e-mails if you send your
e-mail with a delivery receipt or read receipt:
Under e-mail - send - options - Voting and Tracking options
set your option to 'Request a delivery receipt for this message'.
and/or 'Request a read receipt for this message'.
If you keep sending invoices you might piss them off enough that they hit you with a negative feedback.
Boy, we do get spoiled by the buyers who email with their intentions, don't we?
Just my eversohumble opinion...

<< <i>You're in a quandry over three days? Facrissake! How quick do you think the mail is? If you are unhappy about payment taking longer than three days why do you offer ten day payment period? If your shorts are all in a wad over something like this you need to get a life. If you ever sent me a reminder after only three days I'd tell you to GF yourself and stiff you on the auction.
Just my eversohumble opinion...
