Adrian just handed me an 1885 Proof Morgan PATTERN in Copper! NGC PR65RB Judd-1748 with the raised lettered edge "E PLURIBUS UNUM" I'll try to get a picture of it by the end of the day. I've got too many descriptions to do for coins I've already imaged.

I'm not sure if we will be at Long Beach. I've still got literally hundreds of coins I need to image and list along with getting organized. I just finished building my computer for work and only last night had internet connectivity at my apartment. If we do go it will most likely just be Adrian, to buy.
Al,
I agree with you completely. This coin just screams American history. The date of our nation's birth alone makes it one of the most desirable coins. The fact that sketches made by Benjamin Franklin were used for the design of the continental currency note which then
were adopted onto this coinage also adds to the popularity.
Cosmic,
We currently have a camera, some lights, and a copy stand.
Just to let everyone know, there are extremely large pictures of these coins in the auction listings themselves.
Thanks for looking everyone

<< <i>simply amazing that the Continental is overlooked, it has to be the gem of the bunch and can't be touched in terms of historical significance. while most consider that 1792 half disme to be the nations first coinage, i disagree. to this day i don't think the Mint has struck anything that approaches that dollar in terms of "sending a message" to those who choose to see it, namely, our enemies.

Yeah, but its ugly!
That is definitely not the truth. It's probably the 5th most beautiful coin I've ever seen. Most people take more into account when judging beauty than determining a coin's technical grade. I should re-shoot it to show the semi-pl fields.

Brandon,
I was not saying your coin is ugly... I was refering to the design. But a mute point since I was JOKING!
