OK, how about this deep blue, almost black proof? (I bet you didn't think I had any of these! image)

Ok Russ. How do you picj up the color so well on your nickels? I was all but standing on my head to get the lights at the right angle to pick up any color. And my nickel has more color than I posted.

In regards to my nickel, I was looking at the reverse under a loupe and thought I saw something inside the "C" in CENTS. Does anybody see anything here besides me?

Obviously, I am not as well practiced on nickels either, even with the new flexible copy lights. Good thing I only have one toned Jefferson.
  • Here is mine. Much more lively and colorful in hand. And the one in my sig line, which no one likes image

    Best,

    That 1945-D looks AMAZING! imageimage
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
  • I don't have anything new to show, but I wanted to post to say thanks for the photos! I really enjoyed looking at them. I wouldn't mind seeing more image

So no one sees any letters in the "C" on the reverse close up I posted?

Mr. Jefferson's a bit "Green with Envy"

Took it right out of the cellophane from the mint wrapped proof set - I also have a few like Tumass' Pink and Blue Baby up above - neat coins!
